STEiNUNN awarded the Nordic Design Awards, Ginen for 2007

A member of Reykjavik Design District, Steinunn Sigurðardóttir, was yesterday awarded the Ginen, the Nordic Design Awards for the summer and winter collections 2007 from her label STEiNUNN. This is the first time an icelandic designer is given the honor of the Ginen and a great sign of the ongoing design boom in Iceland for the past few years.

Steinunn has a long career behind her and worked among others as a head designer at Gucci, Calvin Klein and La Perla before launching her own label seven years ago.
